Title: 2D Animation with Live View
Post by: Grog on June 18, 2009, 08:36:42 PM
I need to update all the "animation(!)" images on my website (www.animatedknots.com).     I have just purchased a Nikon D5000 and was hoping to use iStopMotion.  My initial tests suggest I am not on the right track.    I need between 5 and 15 images per "Knot".  Accurate localization of successive stages helps understanding the process.

What I wish to do is compose in "Live View" a moderately high resolution photo on the computer screen and be able to Onion Skin the next image.

Any suggestions for software would be much would be appreciated.

I have an old copy of Serif Draw Plus that can make animated gif's. I don't really know what Onion Skinning is (I can guess) but I think I've seen it mentioned with respect to the the latest version.

I assume you can order in the US too.

I use Micro$oft GIF Animator. Google should find a source for you.
