I just got a new computer and have been trying to find out how to transfer all my jobs, preferences, etc to the new machine.

I have found nothing regarding moving jobs, database, custom settings etc to a new computer.

I have installed Qimage ultimate to my new computer and have done the migrate data. When I go to the new computer and try
to restore the data I am stumped. I may be missing something but I see nothing on how to restore or open the files on the new computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The overview of the process is to:

(1) Create a copy of the Qimage app data on the old machine: use the Migrate/Copy function to copy the app data to, say, a flash drive.
(2) Take the flash drive to the new machine and copy that data to the Qimage app data folder on that machine.

The specifics of how to do this are:

The typical process is to use Migrage/Copy application data from Qimage on the old computer.  When it asks for a destination, you can use an external drive or flash drive.  Let's say you use a flash drive which shows up as the G: drive and you "Make new folder" and give it a folder name of "QimageData" on the flash drive.  After the operation is complete, you'll have all Qimage data in a folder on the flash drive: G:\QimageData.  Note: when it asks if you want to USE the new location, say no: you are just making a copy.  You then take the flash drive to the new computer and open the QimageData folder on the flash drive on the new machine (using Windows File Explorer): select all files and folders in that QimageData folder and press "Ctrl-C" to copy them.  Finally, open Qimage on the new computer and select "Utilities", "Browse Qimage Application Data": Qimage will open a File Explorer window in the proper location (where Qimage is storing app data).  Just Ctrl-V to paste all the files/folders there, selecting "Replace files" when asked.

Regards,
Mike
