Can I set up Flashpipe to download files automatically when I put a card in my reader without opening Qimage.  If not that would be a great feature to have. That's the way I have my system set up using Downloader Pro but want to switch to Flashpipe.

I assume you are really referring to Flashpipe, the stand alone software.
If so, All I need to do is plug in my card into the card reader, and Flashpipe opens automatically.
Qimage is not open.
Check in EDIT SETTINGS and make sure there is a checkmark in the box that says, Automatically open FP when a card is inserted.

I didn't realize it was a stand alone program. I thought it was an integral part of Qimage Ultimate, which I have.  I guess I'll keep downloading the way I have been. Thanks for the response.

It comes both ways. Mainly at this point in time, most of us use the built in to Qimage version of Flash Pipe.
Based on your question, I had to guess you were using the free standing Flash pipe, plus you called it Flash Pipe.
In Qimage Ultimate, it's called Flash Card Copy/Move.

You can still get a copy of FlashPipe if that works better for you.

My question is:  Has the stand alone Flash Pipe been updated?

Good question, not so good answer.

My version (which I no longer use), is 2010.120.
The version that is built into Qimage Ultimate is updated, and not only updated as a card reader and uploader, but as a very safe and rapid file transfer application too.
This is all part of Flashcard Copy/Move which is built in to Qimage.
I am sure that Mike designed Flashpipe primarily to offer people that used other software to open their new images, a simple way to get images from camera to computer without the need of a cable.

Qimage and Flashpipe made a good team so Mike combined them, enhanced FP, morphed it into Qimage Ultimate, and gave it many more uses.
I use mine a lot to "sync" folders that I carry on two drives; identical folders that I wish to keep updated.

That's about the most I can offer to answer your question.
