You can easily make more rows with the TO locations that you need
Yes, I have that already.
It's not so much the TO locations but the SOURCE locations.
When the SOURCE is a flash card, I use different Edit/Settings for when the SOURCE is a folder on a hard drive. So the ability to quickly recall the appropriate settings would be good.

Terry,
See snap for my SETTINGS from yesterday. I wanted a folder called First walk with a date, and you can see where I ticked the ADD date to the To Subfolder.
That gives me 2009-09-14 First Walk. Just what I wanted.
Let's assume for the sake of example, that today I go to the Siesta beach
and shoot some.
I would change that box in settings (Place Raw Photos) to Siesta Beach and
FP adds the date. I get 2009-09-15-Siesta Beach.
Furthermore, let's say that the following day I again go to Siesta beach.
FP will keep Siesta Beach but change the date in the folder name.
So it is all sorted for me.

Please explain why you need to reset the FROM settings for your mem cards.

It's not FROM settings for Flash cards as such but the settings need to be different depending on whether FROM (=Source) is a Flash or a Hard Drive The latter being an update to a back-up from the working C-drive to the back-up P-Drive. When HD to HD, the folders are already in place and the re-naming is done when first copied from the Flash card. That first copy would have been to both C and P drives.
So no new folders have to be created nor images re-named. That means different settings - dependent on Source.
Hope that is clearer   Cheesy

Terry,
With no mem card inserted in the reader, Flashpipe will revert to the last setting for HD as the source.
No matter what you are doing, you will have to click on Source, and select the current folder on your main working drive.
That has to change names every time you go out to shoot and come back with a day's work at a named location.

If I am working on images in the 2009-09-15 folder and I want to copy OTHER to teh back up drives, I have to click Source and select tha folder.
perhaps two days from now I went to Siesta Beach again, and work on those images, I still have to click Source and select 2009-09-16-Siesta beach as my new source.

After lunch, take a ride over to my house so I can show you.  Wink

Yes, that I understand but it is the SETTINGS options that I want to be different for a HD Source than for a Flash card Source.
In your settings (attachmen in earlier reply, you are not re-naming or creating a new sub folder - I am, hence differet settings required depending on Source type.

You know I am a long time lover of Dr. Who, so I know what a Tardis can do.   Grin

The Star Trek Transporter was in for a service too  Sad

Ok, I can see that what you do works with non-photo files (qrs etc.) but it does not entirely work with photo files like any jpegs created for e-mail. I need to switch off re-naming in Settings otherwise I get double renaming.
I can see I don't need to alter the tick in the Settings subfolder for raw (they are not raw) but I will still have to remember to un-tick the re-name option.
No worse than re-calling a bunch of settings therefore re-call not required,  only in my head!  Embarrassed

Thanks for your patience on this. FP is so versatile, it needs a bit of effort to work out the best way of doing things to suit your own folder structure and naming methods.
However, it's is easy to use and set up for flash cards. I just had to decide the best way to use it for Hard Drive transfers.
