Ugh.  Thanks for all the testing but we programmers don't like it when stuff just goes away
There must be some logic in this somewhere.
I've re-booted but only just seen your second thought. I'll have to do that later.
All was still ok. after a normal re-boot.

Did you update the firmware BTW?
No, no update, again I'll have a look later to see if I can find an update.
Watch this space.

Second thought: shut the machine down entirely and restart it.  A reboot doesn't power down the peripherals but a full shutdown does.
Mike,
I've done that now and all works ok. I can't find any firmware, it's an obscure make I think  Roll Eyes
I started all this to check FlashPipe and the card reader with my laptop in readiness for a short holiday at the end of the month, I just hope it continues to work ok.

I have a couple of other comments but will post on a new thread.

Also, the FlashPipe window now auto-opens when a card is inserted into a  reader/drive where the drive letter is only visible after the card is inserted.
Mike,
I assume this is related to the issues I had, in some way?

Probably not since your issue went away.  This was just from my own testing: prior versions wouldn't auto-open if you did something like start FlashPipe before you plug in your card reader.
