Request to resend activation email produced a message box titled"an error has occurred" but the message said the email was sent. It never arrived. I tried to register using my old user name (ckaza) and email address. Reply said that those items were currently in use. Today I registered with a different username (cakaza) and my work email address. Registration  "took" and I received an activation email at the work address and logged in.  Almost immediately I received an  activation email at my home address with my original username.  Now when I log in as ckaza, the forum comes up with a Hello cakaza. Previously I had access to the studio forum, but not now.  Is there a way to get everything to work as it once did: ckaza, home address, and studio access?

Here's Mike's instructions copied from the forum.

Yes, there is a Qimage Studio forum at this site!  It is a restricted forum that is only accessible by registered users of Qimage Studio Edition.  If you are a Studio Edition user, you can gain access to the forum by following these simple steps:

(1) Register: if you are not already a registered member of Mike Chaney's Tech Corner (you are viewing this forum as a guest), just click the "Register" link at the top.

(2) Once you've registered, come back to this message and click "Personal Message" right under my profile photo: it's the little "thought bubble" icon under my profile picture at the left of this message.

(3) In your private message to me, just enter two lines in the body of the message.  On the first line, just say something like "Requesting access to Studio forum" and (most importantly) on the second line, type the email address you used when you registered Qimage Studio.  This must be the email address where you received your Qimage Studio registration email with the unlock information.

(4) Click "Send Message" so that the message will be sent to my personal message area here on the forum.

That's it.  Give me 1-2 days to look you up and verify your registration and once you're approved, a new "Qimage Studio Edition" forum will be visible in "Mike's Software" (you will not receive any confirmation message via email or private forum message).

Regards,
Mike

Fred, Thanks for your reply. I had hoped that there was an easy way to just get back to my initial registration. What was puzzling is the fact that logging in using my initial username resulted in being logged in under the new name.  Manipulating my profile cured that problem. I used the same password for both accounts. Apparently the log-in process checks a sorted list of passwords and then just uses the first username. Changing the password on the newer account results in being able to login under either username.
Will re-request admittance to the studio forum

I had the same situation after the list cleanup. I have to admit I am too lazy to leave some lines here. Anyway I just register again. It took me some time but it worth. I am back now.
