I'm wanting to print a poster for my daughter for christmas. I downloaded it from google images. it is of the movie twilight. I have a hp 130 nr printer. I'm using qimage. How do I print this a keep a real good image to the size of 24" x 48".  Thank you in advance for any help

Roll paper or Sheets?

What does the above Poll mean?  Why is there?  It just doesn't make sense.

I'll try again.
If you are using roll paper, you must go into the driver and tell it what paper you are using, and what size page to make.  Top right corner of Qimage. Click the left button that says Printer Page Setup.
You need, Roll Paper, Banner mode.
Then you define the page. I would try borderless, with a setting of 24/02 width and 49" long.
I tried to download the driver for your printer, but according to HP, none is available for download.

So I will try to use an Epson as a model.

After you set the paper size and type, define the page, and set quality and whether you use a printer profile to set The printer to manage color or program to manage color, you now only have to tell Qimage what size print.
Open Print Properties, and select CUSTOM. Place a dot in the top selection and type in the size print.   24 x 48   
OK out and you are set to print (other than printer profile selection if you use them)

If you use sheet paper, then tell the driver the size sheets.
Go back into Qimage and select the print size from Custom as above, setting 24 x 48.
You will likely get a red warning looking like a red 2 x 4, or a 2 x 5, something like that.
It is only letting you know you are in Poster Mode,m and Qimage will need that many sheets to make the number of panels you need to fill out the print request.
Of course, you will have to tape these panels together when finished...

  I got it to the size, but when I print it comes out blurred. I use roll paper at this time. I just copied the image from google images. I don't no if the quality from that may be giving m the problem.

Most google images are pretty small, so you will not be able to print them to any worthwhile size - it gives the dimensions for the images, anyway. Plus, I expect they make 'em small, because they will be copyrighted.

Sounds like Ray has the answer... Spot on!

This is an image 640 x 480 (from an email) which is in the queue and a 24 x 48 inch print is requested.
The PPI (Pixels per inch) is 13.... 
The minimum PPI would be somewhere near 90 using Qimage!
The second screen snap is an ordinary image from an inexpensive Point and shoot pocket camera which, at your 24 x 48 print request, yields 90 PPI.
That image is 4320 x 3240 resolution.

You have a couple of ways to add text.
Both require that you are in the Page Editor

Floating text is what you probably want for this adventure.

See attached

Right click on the image in the Page Editor, and select Floating Text.
Take your time.... select a nice font, a point size that suits you, colors that show nicely, and which you can shadow the text, rotate the text, center or otherwise justify the text...
Should work fine for you.

Thank you that works. Now for another project, How do you add a picture into the picture. I guess it would be like the floating text.

Also where and what is it called for sheet paper. I need it to be 20" x 35"? My printer is 24" I can go that route as well. I'm not sure what it is called or where to find it.

Not sure exactly what you mean by a picture into a picture.  We can place multiple pictures on the same page and overlay them. If that's what you mean, then very easy.
Would really like to have an idea of what you are trying to create.

But you can easily add images on top of or beneath other images...  Place an image at 8 x 10 (example)  in the queue.
Click the little RED "F" at the upper right corner of the preview panel.
You are now in FREEHAND mode.
change the print size to something smaller so you can see the overlay (you can change the sizes later) and DRAG the next image on top of the original.
Go into the page Editor screen for exact placement.

For that, you should check your printer s[specifications which will tell you what sizes of sheets of paper the printer can handle.
