Epson 4800 sheet feed

I am considering a slightly used 4800 simply for the sheet feed function and providing flat prints instead of the curly ones from our 7800/9800's using roll paper. I would like some advise as to wether it is a case of just loading a stack of precut 6x4, 5x7 or whatever and I can put them through with a border from qimage and I don't need to trim them after?

That sounds perfect to me!
No problem with borders at all.
The only item that might need attention would be the printable area on a 5 x 7 sheet of paper for example.
I have a 4800 driver on my screen and to find 5 x 7 paper, I seem to need user defined. 5 x 7. (I do not have the printer)
Maybe someone with the actual printer has a workaround.
I am unable to get border-less using user defined; 5 x 7 or 4 x 6 sheets.
If I use regular user defined 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 paper, then the printer forces a .12 inch margin all around, except for one side, the long side, at .56 inches.
It looks like you will have to trim one side, and also wanted to mention that the printable area will be 5.33 x 3.76 on 4 x 6 paper.
You should look into it further depending on the paper you have available and your needs.

I don't believe the 48xx series will print 4x6 sheets, and maybe not even 5x7's. All Epson documentation refers to 8x10 as the smallest media the printer can handle. I would guess that is why smaller sizes are not listed in the driver. If you need to print single sheets of these sizes, I would recommend the 3800.
