Title: Epson 800 and "overdrive"
Post by: jeffjessee on February 22, 2017, 08:06:35 PM
Does the new overdrive printing resolution feature show any noticeable improvement on the Epson P800 printer (Premium Luster paper)?

Thanks,
Jeff Jessee

Hi Jeff
Been a while...
As I  understand it, Mike made this feature "smart".
It will "gray out" Overdrive if it serves no purpose.

As for seeing the improvement, Mike has shown it in the web site and I think in the forum too.
As for "ME" seeing it... I do not have the proper criteria to show it... in my prints.
Mike and I traded 2400 and 4800 ppi scans of special targets, and I could see the improvement. This was during the development stage.... long since improved.
I know Mike a long time. For my money, if Mike says it's "SO", it is so!

Fred
