Hello All, I had bought Profile Prism a few years back, which went with the old hard drive.

I then decided to buy an I1 which got me really close to what I wanted. Since I have no longer have PP, can anyone advise me if I can use PP to edit an existing printer profile for a minor tweek.
eg: In photoshop I can go to "selective color" and reduce 5 values of magenta from the "Reds" option, to reduce the pink in skin tones.

TIA

I don't think you can edit a non-PP profile in PP because you have to open the scanned target image to make edits.
If you have the full Eye-One kit which does printer profiles, there is an editor module for the software: "Eye-One Editor Module
Fine-tune your profiles with the Eye-One Editor module"

Qimage does have a "Selective Color" feature in its Batch Filter that can be used to make corrections; the resulting filter would be then used as a Print Filter.

Thanks Terry for your reply.

I do have the I1 profile editor module, although I found it disapointing as it applies an overall correction, not the specific adjustment I am after.

The batch mode in QI is something I will investigate.

Take a look at AMS Color Darkroom.

As Mike is planning an upgrade/newer version of PP, perhaps he may consider a PS plugin version.

Or Similar control/editing functions that we can utilise with the confidence of similar functionality.

Why I ask this is... that I have been using PS since the Boer war (lol) and I know what I need to do with PS's control options to get to where my finished products ends up.

I have several printers that range from credit card, to LFP, I need to tweek my own I1 generated profiles so all my printers products match up.

In the case of the credit card printer, after general file color correction, I then need to run a PS action over these batch up files to get me closer to where I need to be, which is "color matched".

I can live with it, but I reckon it could be better with an edited profile, however it is originally created.
