I rescanned a IT8 target to redo a profile on an ink change.  The paper name is what I used, say "Moab Glossy."

I noticed the new file date created from Prism is from the last one and never the new one (i.e. New ICM profile shows 12-4-2011 and not 10-17-2012)?  Do I have to delete the prior ICM profile for the new one to work as it doesn't seem to over-write the old date?  I'm afraid that the old date profile is still lying in hiding and the new one is being ignored even though I right-click and "Install new Profile."

Tia.

I wouldn't expect to to overwrite a different filename, Mack
Did you change the filename and the descriptor?
If you only changed the filename, and are searching for am unchanged descriptor, that may be it.
Depends on what program is looking at the profiles to select.
Programs like Photo Shop etc. read the descriptor and not the file name.
You probably left the descriptor and changed the file name.
Look again using Qimage. That shows both.
