Title: CONVERT FROM CMYK?
Post by: willym on June 22, 2010, 09:42:03 PM
I'm printing a file from a client, it's in CMYK, when I bring it into Qimage it's as if it doesn't recognize the profile. Does Qimage convert from CMYK?
How do I know it's not recognizing the profile? When I preview the CMYK image  in Qimage, the colors have changed significantly. If I convert to SRGB first, the colors look fine.

Any ideas?

Hi Bill,
I'm pretty sure the answer is no and Qimage is RGB only for photographic images.
I note that if I go to select an input profile from any of the Qimage dialogues, only RGB profiles are visible and CMYK ones are hidden.
Looks like your best bet is to convert outside of Qimage first.
