It is probably just me--but it is difficult for me to find answers from the "view by example" or other things in help file!

Latest problem:  I somehow got brown borders around photos in Preview Page box.  I go to instructions and it says I can make changes in "print properties."  I go to "print properties" on front page and it does not address this!

Other problems related:  If I go ahead and print, the border strip is not on the print, but other artifacts are.  These artifacts are: Something that looks like a double of details around the edges.

Borders:  What I mean by this is a small band (brown) around print.  Then outside these brown borders, I get a line (which I want.)

Print size:  I have standard paper sizes (8.5"X11".)  How do I set this?  I am not sure!  Somehow it works by trial and error--usually.  Again, I can't make heads or tails out of the directions.

Wizard:  The directions talk about "using a Wizard."  How do I get this to come up?

Thanks for any help you can give me!  (go slow, please and give many instructions!)

This sounds like you have clicked the Canvas edge.
Ok. Slow it is...

Step 1
Go to VIEW menu-- Behavior of Closed Panels, and set to manual. That is for ease of use. It will stay like that.
Step 2
What size print do you want to make?
See screen snap 31. Your print properties and job properties should look like that.
step 3
Click on where my screen snap shows 8 x 10 and select the size you want from the list of preset sizes.
Step 4
Turn on crop scissors by clicking the little scissors icon located under the 8.0 of the 8.0 x 10.0

Step 5
Add your image by dragging it to the queue below the thumbnails, or highlighting the thumbnail and click the INSERT key on the keyboard or double click the thumbnail.

Step 6
You should now have an image similar to screen snap 032
Step 7
Right click on the big image upper right and click select image. It might already be selected, but I don't know from here so we play safe and make sure it is selected.

Step 8
Click on the number 1 on Border 1; see snap 031, and select your color.
Step 9
Click your cursor in the text box of the Border 1 size box and (for example) change the right side zero to a 9. That will give you a 0.09 or a 9/100 border in the color of your choice.
See screen snap 033. I have a red border at .09 inches.

OK I'll stop here and see how we did.

I'm here so reply when you can.

Fred
PS.
The message rules wont let me send so many screen snaps, so I'll but two here and the third in the follow up message

Yes, maybe I have done a canvas thing.  How do I undo it?  Go slow!

See the message I sent you above? See the pictures of the bird and my screen? Click on them. They get larger so you can see them better. They are numbered and are snapshots of my screen. Hence the name screen snaps.

Click on the border button, and then select the Clear Both Borders.
Then get a fresh start using my previous email.
