On rare occassions after a print run Qimage will not respond to actions, I can't click on any button, drop down box or even the X to close the software. The pointer will highlight the button but nothing happens.

I end up having to alt ctrl del to close it and then restart the application.

I've plenty of ram, and disk space on WinXp SP2

If it always happens after printing, we need to determine whether the print driver ever release control back to Qimage.  If not, it could be the driver locking up.  Next time that happens, look at the progress bar that moves left to right while processing the prints.  Did that bar disappear or is it still there (still is visible and says "100%" or "waiting for print driver")?  Also try dragging the Qimage main window off the edge of the screen.  Are there any dialogs behind the Qimage window?  Sometimes Windows gets confused and puts always-on-top dialogs behind other windows.  Might just be an error message or something hiding behind the main window.

By your screen shot, it may not be Qimage that is freezing.  The thumbnail is already loaded and thumbnail building has finished.  Qimage is also not in the middle of doing any other operations like printing.  Whenever a window locks up like that when basically nothing is going on, you have to suspect virus/adware scanning tools or other utilities that might interfere.

Mike--

My QI is starting to crash again in Windows 7RC.  It occurs when I have a pic loaded for printing then double click it to get into the editor.  It goes into hour glass mode.  I CAN Ctrl-Alt-Del and get out.  I have tried JPG, NEF and PSDs.  All do it.

Think it's updates messing with it??  Time for a full delete and re-install again?

Mike,
I have the same problem but not rarely like PopPicker but nearly one time over two.
The print is processed well then everything freezes.
I've check everything you've asked, all looks normal (today, only QImage was running).
I'm not using QI for long time, my computor never froze before and QI is the latest installation I've made in my config (Update made few days ago).
Is there any thing I can do to fix that?
Regards
Daniel
