I have been using Qimage for many years without any problems. However, when I try to shutdown I am now getting a dialogue box saying that Qimage settings could not be saved. When I exit without saving settings, on the next startup it says that Last start could not be saved and Write access denied. I tried a reinstall but this did not make any difference.
Has anyone any ideas what could be wrong?
Thanks
Bill

Sounds like the the location for writing is not accessible.
The ini files are not writing and getting saved.
I would reinstall after turning off the Anti Virus just to be sure, but pay particular attention to the locations proposed by the installer.

The installer remembers the last install parameters so if you changed some location even by accident, it stays changed.
So see the attached and try to make yours about the same.
You didn't say if your Windows was 32 or 64 bit.
So give it a try

Sorry I did not get back earlier Fred but I have been away. However your solution worked fine, although I did have some difficulty in uninstalling qimage. What did not help was that I had it in two locations.
Thanks a lot for your help. Much appreciated
