Mike

I was answering another topic when I tried to capture a screenshot of the 'Print Properties' panel using Gadwin. Every time I pressed the 'Print Screen' key to activate Gadwin, the panel disappeared (very frustrating). I had to take a photo instead. The panel is also slightly transparent, but I'm not sure if this is deliberate.
Not a very serious issue, but it has me puzzled. I'm using Vista 64bit, QU v2011.136

Hi Brian,
No problem here using Greenshot screen capture. The PP box is a little tranparent.

No problem here either using PickPick...
The PP box is supposed to be slightly transparent so you can see that you might have an image in the queue evenb though the PP box might be flag right at the time.

Terry and Fred

I've no problem with the box being transparent, it's a good idea.
I've just tried Greenshot, and it works properly, so the problem only exists with Gadwin. Still a puzzle, though.

Hi Brian,
The only thing I can think of is that Greenshot freezes the screen when activated and if Gadwin does not, moving the mouse to select the area is like a mouse shake and will close the PP box in manual opening mode. Try Gadwin & move the mouse slowly  Roll Eyes

Terry

The box disappears the moment I press the Print Screen key, so it's not the mouse movement. I've changed to Greenshot now, it seems just as good as Gadwin.

I find many screens will disappear when a mouse is clicked.
Try EDIT PREFERENCES, for example. Same thing. When I use my screen capture program and have to right click the mouse, the Edit /P box closes too.
My email program does the same thing as do many more.
I think it depends on what type of box the program is using.
To beat that, I use the Hot Keys instead of the Mouse.
I use PicPick, a free for home use program. It works very well.

Terry,
I need your expertise to answer this one.
These three are from the UK.
See attachments.
Is there something in the water that makes them look like this?
Could it be the Metric system?
Could it be the warm beer?

It must be the week end for such a difficult question.
The last one, 648 must definitely be due to warm beer. The second is what we think you look like when attempting to use the metric system. The first is merely a handsome fellow.  Grin

648 was due to a hot day and too much French wine and some rotten b****r with a camera.

OK, I understand #648... he explained it very clearly. He got drunk and was unable to perform!
The lady with the camera was not too happy with him.

I couldn't possibly look like #2. I am over 200 pounds (92.9864 kg) and number #2 looks like he hasn't had a meal in a while.

As for #1 (avatar 67), he has to get out in the sunshine once in a while.
It might make him less cantankerous!
