Ver 112 worked ok 2 days ago. When I try to open it today it will not open and Windows shuts it down. I deleted the program and downloaded a new version and the same thing happens. The message that comes up has to do with no printer assigned to the E-printer in the exe file. I know Windows updated 1 or 2 days ago but I am at a loss on how to get Qimage working again. I suppose I could go back to an older version and see if that works and wait for the next update to get the newer version. Any ideas?

Mike.
What printer?
If you are fairly certain it involved a W 10 update, you can UNINSTALL the update and see.

Each Windows 10 update gets worse WRT what it does to installed printers.  That message might just mean that Windows has no default printer.  Go to "Printers and Settings" in Windows and make sure you select one of the listed printers as the "default printer".  See if that helps.

Mike - thanks for the clue on Windows resetting the default driver. I went to Devices and Printers and my Epson 3880 was no longer even listed. I changed the default to one of the 4 listed (XPS something or other) and Qimage booted upp fine. I reloaded 112 and it worked too. Then I had to dig thru all my disks to find the original 3880 driver and reinstall that. I made that my default and now it works. When i was digging thru one of the Windows screens it had a switch that said Let Windows choose default printer. I turned that off. Hopefully that's the end of that nonsense. Computers are great when all is working well but boy is it hard when they aren't. Thanks again.

Mike - thanks for the clue on Windows resetting the default driver.
Along the same lines, about 3 or 4 months ago, I had a windows update that took out all my drivers and I have 39 printer drivers currently.
A month later, also like you, no printer found..... did the Chaney fix.
Next update reduced ALL the text to 10 point size and icons to beads.... and removed the TEXT SIZE adjuster which has been in Windows forever.
Text of 10 points in many applications, is far too small for my eyes.
So I uninstalled that update, and shut off Windows UPDATES so it will not auto update, and no more problems.
Mike promised to let me know if and when they replace that fonts size adjuster.
(I did manage to find a stand alone font size program, in case)

Too old to go through W 10 nonsensical update once a week and then spend two days trying to fix what they broke.
