Title: Adding A Page
Post by: sync007 on October 05, 2019, 06:25:32 PM
I am using the built in contact page and want only 6 images on it, it lays them our nicely for this but then I add 7 and the photo goes sideways and I know why because the software is smart but is there a way to add another page and move number 7 to the second page without doing it freehand?

You aren't giving me a lot of info,  like page size and which built in contact sheet layout, but I'll try.
I selected from the CUSTOM list, CONTACT SHEET w/INFO. Then I set the number to 4 x 2 giving me 8 to the 8.5 x 11 sheet.
I next ( to stop image rotation) click the little  button that says LOCK Print orientation, located on the Prints Tab.t's all the way to the right edge and looks like a padlock.

As for moving the next image to a page 2, Qimage will do that automatically as soon as the page is full. If you want page 2 before this page is full, just change the 4 x 2 to 3 x 2 That will make image 7 go to page 2.

See snaps. 147 is contact sheet for 6.  148  Adding the 7th image goes to page 2

If I missed the problem, let me know and I'll try again.

Or you could open the page editor (Edit Page button under the Live View), then right click on the 7th print and choose "Push to next page".

I sometimes end up with an image on, say, P2 that could have fitted on P1, especially when doing test prints. Is there a "Push to previous page." ?

I wish I had more information as to page size and print size so I could see to repeat what you are seeing. I forgot which printer you use.

1) My setup automatically puts that Page 2 image on to page one. So I need to know if you are in freehand mode?
2) If so, and you wish to stay in that mode for manual print positioning  etc., Go to page editor and right click to menu and use cut and paste.
3) If you dont care, just right click on the Live View image and use SORT PRINTS.

If you are in one of the optimal placement methods and it is on page 2, then you can be sure it won't fit on page 1.  It might look like it will (by eye) but if you look at the sizes and do the math, you'll be able to determine it actually won't fit.
