Hello everyone,
I've been trying out the demo and decided to buy the program today. After install nothing is going to my printer. However,  I can print with in windows.  I have tried resetting printer setting and creating a new profile as the popup has indicated.  I've tried to completely remove everything and reboot and reinstall.  I'm a bit frustrated.  Can't get anything to print through qi. Any other thoughts, what am I missing?

Windows 10

Need some details from you.
Did Qimage process the image? Did you see the progress bar moving at the lower right?
Do you have your printer selected in Qimage?
Any error messages?
When the print box opens before Qimage sends data to the windows spooler, does the dialogue bos show the printer and it's port location?
See screen snaps

I think the image was processed by qi.
There is a progress bar that counts to a 100
When I open the printer que I can see the spooling but when qi gets to 100% the print job disappears from que but it never reaches the printer.

Try reducing the print resolution to Max (600 PPI) instead of Overdrive (1200 PPI) on the main window.  The Z series drivers are finicky (to put it nicely) and they may not work well for large prints when driving the printer beyond its native resolution.

Reducing the image quality to native res had no effect.  I was able to use the demo without any issues.  I have made no changes to my system other than installing the licensed software that I bought.  So far I am completely disappointed with QI  Im out of options on getting QI to send prints to the printer. is there any other way to get support on QI?
Thanks for the help

This is not a Qimage issue.  If Qimage's processing bar on the lower right reaches 100% (which it would have if the printer started printing), Qimage has sent all the data to the printer.  If you get partial prints at that point, we have to fix the issue with your system.  The demo and the registered version have the same code for printing so if the demo worked, I can only guess that you were printing smaller photos with the demo and the larger ones are causing a system problem where the system is unable to handle the larger amount of data.  Qimage can sometimes expose system issues because it sends more data than most printing programs: ones that don't bother to interpolate or match driver resolution.

I see that you are printing via the network.  That adds an extra layer of data transfer since you are now relying on at least 2 PC's to be configured properly for large data transfers, network queue sizes, etc.  If you are able, you might want to connect the printer to the PC where you are using Qimage (via USB) and see if that solves the problem.  If so, at least we'll know to look in the area of LAN data transfer or memory limitations on the network attached PC.

Since you have a large format printer and you are printing across a network, also take a look at this troubleshooting article that addresses some of these data transfer issues:

http://ddisoftware.com/tech/articles/april-2006-houston-we-have-a-(printing)-problem/

See the section on partial prints near the bottom.

Edit: I also just noticed that your driver says "HP DesignJet Z3200 44in Class Driver".  I've not seen that before.  Typically if you've installed the printer driver from HP, the printer name will be "HP DesignJet Z3200 44in Photo PCL3".  I'm concerned that you let Windows install some Microsoft driver and if so, that can cause problems too.  You never want to accept the OS drivers: download and install them from HP.  The same is true on the Mac: the most common problem on the Mac is trying to use Apple's "AirPrint" drivers from the OS.  It's a similar situation with Windows, particularly when printing to a network printer because Windows will ask you if you want to install a driver automatically.

Regards,
Mike

Mike,
So I was about to throw in the towel and give up completely. the Spooler would quit sooner and sooner.  Then I noticed windows error and then more errors.  I had run a system diagnostics, Apparently  the last 4 days I have been slowly experiencing a hard drive failure.  QI was spooling the image and with the system slowly loosing available storage it was unable to complete the process.   I moved over to another PC a much older and slower system.  But It printed flawlessly with all of my original configuration settings over my network.
So I had another question with the Z printer and hp utility.
I had abandoned the direct usb connect when trying to get the firmware, ICC, and configuration complete.   Well let me back up, I bought this Z3200 for $400 it was sitting in a warehouse for a couple of years just collecting dust.  I completely dismantled and rebuild the printer.  This is my first wide format printer.  So when trying to access the firmware and build color files how are you completing it the over the direct USB connection?  I could not get it to work.  A tech told me it had to be on a network. Is this incorrect?
Hey and thank you very much for you patience.  You really do have a great product.

Regards
Everett

Interesting.  I would not have guessed the hard drive failure angle.  I'm not familiar with the intricacies of creating a profile using the Z3200 but I'm not aware of any limitations that would prevent you from using USB.  My understanding is that you can use the HP Color Center software to print and then create a profile.  Once the profile is created, you can use that profile in Qimage by selecting it in the "Printer Profile" selection in Qimage (in conjunction with turning off color management in the driver settings).  Having said that, perhaps once you get the hard drive situation fixed, you could still use it via the network: the network may not have been causing the problem.

Mike
