Hi,

I've run into a problem creating new files after using Deep focus sharpening.

As a last step before posting a photo to my web site, I sometimes bring it it into QI ultimate (v2015.118) and apply some Deep focus sharpening to the main subject. I use the "all but the selected tone" option to prevent sharpening on the background.

I then ceate a new file (.jpg 90 % quality).  To my surprise, this afternoon I noticed that the aspect ratio of the new pictures is changed. A pic of 3553 x 2369 becomes 3385 x 2369 and a pic of 3471 x 2314 becomes 3307 x 2314. It seems they are missing respectively 168 and 164 pixels of width.

Is there some setting I should take into consideration, or could this be a bug ?

Thanks,
Claude Morin

Yes, I think so and nothing to do with DFS.
The new images both have an aspect ratio of 1.429 but the original images have different values. This seems to be showing they are being cropped while in the queue.
That is, a specific size is set with the 1.429 aspect ratio with the crop scissors on AND in the dialogue for creating a web copy, the "Honor Print Crops .." is ticked.
See attached screen shot.
If you are using "Convert Images", there is a similar tick box in that dialogue.

Hi Terry-M

Problem solved. I had ticked this option for another project and forgot about it.

Thanks a million. You guys offer the best support in the business by far, no contest.
