Title: File location of print files exported from Photoshop and Lightroom
Post by: nmossholder on November 09, 2018, 11:04:55 PM
Windows crashed on my computer just as I was building a new one.  I can access files on the old SSD and would like to retrieve the print files that I exported from Photoshop and Lightroom on the old computer, but I can't find them.  Two questions:

1.  Where are they located?

Would it be possible to store them in an alternative location (like my external HDD, where I store my photos)?

Thanks for your help!

The images are located here.

C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage\Plugins\Export

I don't know your status of Qimage installation, but the access through Qimage is done via clicking on Utilities, and then Explore Export folder.

As for question 2, you can experiment, or better to ask Mike.

On the second question, you can use the Utilities, Migrate function.  Keep in mind that migrating (changing) the location of the data folder changes the location of the entire data folder that includes thumbnails, raw cache, saved setups, jobs, plugin exports, etc.  You cannot separate only the plugin export folder for example: that has to be a subfolder of the overall data folder.  But using the migrate function, you can move the whole data folder to your external HDD.  Just make sure to use one that is always plugged in and available.
