The first image on a printed package is constantly being cut off by about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
I'm trying to print a strip of wallets. Whether it's 4 or 64, it's always the first and last that are misaligned.
The wallet size is the standard 2.5 x 3.5
I'm using the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 printer
And yes, the borderless option is turned on .

The other sizes seem to print as they should, it's just the wallets.
We you an automated wallet cutter, so, when the image is off we have to do it by hand.
We have had them printed elsewhere and there seemed to be no issue.

Thanks again

One more piece of info, we're using Qimage Ultimate v2017.127 if that makes a difference.

I think this is related to understanding how Epson drivers handle borderless printing.  You have to understand both options: "Auto Expand" and "Retain Size".  This is explained by me in this post:

http://ddisoftware.com/tech/qimage/strange-page-size-error/msg23962/#msg23962

My guess is that you are using "Retain Size" which causes Epson drivers to have part of their (defined) printed page beyond the edges of the paper: so part of the left and right prints might actually be printing off the edges of the paper.  This is all explained in the post above, along with some solutions.

Mike

Thanks Mike, but I checked and the setting is the auto Expand is on and set to "Standard"

In that case, all of your prints are being expanded by the driver.  If you print 3.5 x 2.5 prints, each print will actually be 3.6 x 2.57 inches and if you fill the page left to right, the left and right edges will be missing (because they've been expanded off the edges of the paper).  In this mode, the best you can do to counteract the expansion is to select "Edit", "Preferences", "Print and Page Formatting", "Borderless Overspray/Expansion" and select "Disable" in Qimage.  Then Qimage will do its best to "undo" the expansion that the driver is performing in that mode.

Patrick,
I can print 2.50 x 3.50 (wallet size) that are borderless, without invoking borderless. See snap attached.
With that old printer, the driver is "SCALING" Changing the size Of the prints when you use borderless.
So I ask myself . Why does he need borderless? I make 4 wallets using compact placement without borderless, and I get what I think you want?Huh It does not chop off anything
