I've just finished printing several dozen family pictures.

Two problems keep reoccurring in my workflow.
One - caused mostly by printers which have not sufficiently evolved as to be totally reliable.
My R1800 continues to eject blank paper causing media load errors and requiring me to stand over said printer feeding the spit out paper back in & back in & back in  . . .  until it loads properly & Qimage/the spooler continues.  Every now & then something goes totally foobar & I have to cancel the job and recall & reprocess the Queue - that I fortunately saved after having been down this road many times before.  However - it must be 're-processed' - a computer wheel spin that takes a torrible period of time on my ancient PC.
This is all happening on Qimage Pro.  Question - does Q Ultimate have a 'processed session' save/autosave feature to save me some time getting to the physical print point ?

The other problem is that I periodically print images from different sources - family, cameras, sizes, etc.  I typically print 4 X 2 on 8 1/2 X 11 & put a small version of the file name - the date & time of the photo from a program called Stamp - at the bottom right of the photo so that a picture given to someone can be recreated from that info.  However - I find that Qimage changes the font size markedly up & down based on I guess image source size.  All I want is the same size font for the file name across varying source size pictures; but roughly the same size prints.  Question - has Q Ultimate solved this problem ?

Hi
You can tick the Windows 'Print to File' box on the print dialog box to save the file as a .prn file, then print the file as often as you like using a free program called PrintFile -
http://www.lerup.com/printfile/

I think you have to name the print file with the full path (something like F:\Print1.prn), as I never found out where it ended up if you don't.

By the way, paper transport problems are usually a portent of impending doom, so start saving for a new printer  Sad

My first suggestion would be to go to Control Panel (what version of Windows?)  or Printers and Faxes....    and click on your printer and clear any pending (error) documents that might be stuck in the queue/spooler.
Second would be to yank out the plug from the printer, The power plug. Wait a minute and plug the juice back in. Now restart the printer.

If those do not work, follow Brian's advice and save up.

Why do that when Qimage can do it all without modifying the image. Use Info Stamp in the editor or Floating Text in the Page Editor.

You might want to look at cleaning your printer rollers, those and the paper sensor may be dirty. It's possible to buy a spray to make your own cleaning sheets.

Something else to save up for  Roll Eyes - a modern quad core PC makes Qimage Ultimate whizz.
