I've got a real slow wifi. It's with Eastlink, a Canadian cable company. It's worse than dial-up. What I've been doing is using my cellphone. What I want to do is record your learning videos on my cellphone when in a LTE area and play them back when I'm at home in front of my confuser. I did a search on the Internet and came up with an app called, Tube Video Downloader. I can't get it to work. I'm using a Samsung Note 2 which is an Android device. Any ideas?

Regards, Paul.

I have just started to re-download these videos and I'm using the basic (free) version of YTD video downloader see  http://www.ytddownloader.com/  .  I can't say whether it is the best or worst of its kind but it's working for me.

Thanks for that, Sandy. I'm downloading YTD now. Is it working for you?

Hi Paul,

Yes, YTD is doing its job and I'm downloading a few more Qimage videos right now.  It does only one video at a time unless you use the paid for version.  Open YTD, select Download, start playing the video you want, click on the address bar for that video to highlight it, press CTRL C and the link appears in the YTD box.  Choose the destination, click Download and off you go.   All pretty intuitive.

I'm no expert on these downloaders but I have used Speedbit (also free) which does allow downloading of several videos at once BUT it doesn't want to do the job with Qimage videos, and YTD proved itself capable of downloading some videos that Speedbit wouldn't handle.  Also Speedbit includes some add ons that you might not want.  These have to be deleted via win Programme controls in the Control Panel.

hope it works for you.

Thanks for that Sandy.

I'm having trouble with YTD. I installed it without all the add ons. I went to the Ultimate videos on Youtube, copied the link into YTD clicked the button and nothing happened. I uninstalled, rebooted, downloaded again with the same result.

Regards, Paul.

It's working and downloading a 223 mb file at the breakneck speed of 29.34 KB/s. I should be able to watch it in about 3 days...

That's slow!  I've just tried a download of that video and it is around 600Kb/s for me.  This suggests your slow speed is not down to YTD but to something else eg the speed supported by your connection which can vary according to the numbers of people using it at one time.  Ours is nominally a max of 6Mb/s for downloading but can be very much lower during peak times.  Sometimes if you cancel a download and start again speed improves - but if you are 1.5d into a 3d download you might hesitate to do that!

We moved here about a month ago, Sandy and the speed I posted is typical. It stinks. But YTD work, so that's okay. As we know, YTD won't download Youtube vids from the YT site, but from this site, for some reason unbeknownst to me, the YT vids are downloadable.
