Hi Mike,

I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but I have to try to find out what is happening.

Is there any chance that Qimage would put cut lines onto a print, right up the left hand side and sometimes across the top. I am using Epson Pro 7600 24" printing A1 size graphics created in Publisher and Snagit.  I can see the cut marks processing item but it is off. Funny thing is that it is not on all my prints. I have checked in Publisher and Snagit to ensure all crops and bleeds are off, but I still get it, this line is not visable in any software that I view it in, so it has to be coming from the software I am printing with or the printer driver, which I have also checked to make sure no bleeds are ticked. Got me tricked. Any help would be appreciated.

Jackie.

Jackie,

Would you be able to post a picture of a sample print?  Sometimes we see clues in the print.  Also, what version of Windows are you running?  The 7600 is an old printer which doesn't have a Win10 driver so I'm guessing you are running an older operating system or you've used one of the Windows 10 workarounds to install an old driver on Windows 10: if so, that might be causing some issues.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply, I never had problems when I first installed the printer with this line thing, but recently I had to do a new install of W10 and this time I did have some trouble getting the workaround for the Pro 7600 to work, so yea I have been thinking the driver could be it.

I have looked at the image produced by the software in all file types magnified as high as I can get and cannot see any lines.  They only go as far as the printed section is, like they do not go any further than where the image goes to. They are a light grey.

The problem seems to be at the end of the process, so chances are printer driver. I have attached a copy of the .jpg plus a pic of the results. The line is only printed on the left and top, sometimes not even on the top!   Inconsistent to say the least. If you can think of anything else it would be appreciated.

Many thanks, BTW love the new roll printing feature, amazing to say the least!

Cheers
Jackie.

So interesting it does not seem to be the Pro 7600 driver doing this, because other printers are also doing it, when printing with Qimage I now have to try printing just from other software.  More experimenting to follow. I still have not eliminated Publisher or the other software.

I thought you said (in Jose's forum) Photoshop printed the same line(s)?  Your reply there said Photoshop gave you the same lines with an image created in Snagit.

Can you put the original image on a link to download: somewhere like Google Drive?

Mike
