Hi, I have now placed P/S CS6 into retirment but still use L/R 6 but also gone over to Affinity Photo (Windows) and just wondered if there are any plans to make QI available for other software like Affinity Photo? There are thousands of users of Affinity Photo out there that have done the same and it would be a new market for QI. Thankyou, Russ.

This question has come up (and been answered) several times before but I know it's not always easy to get search results on forums so the answer is: we've reached out to Affinity Photo about the possibility of working with them to make a plugin for Qimage.  We have not gotten a response.

Regards,
Mike

Hi, Thankyou for the reply. As I use Affinity Photo now I posted your reply on there forum after asking the why question!!! There response is as follows
'Hi Russ,
Not all plugins will work because Affinity Photo doesn't support all features/functionality provided by Photoshop/Photoshop SDK. Currently Affinity Photo only supports basic image filters (.8bf). Anything relying on automation (or other types of plugins) are not supported. I have not tested Qimage Ultimate personally but i will take a look at it. If there's a chance to make it work in Affinity i'm sure the developers will consider to take a look.'

So I again stated 'Yes understand that but the reply from Mike at Qimage is not a good advert for AP ' we've reached out to Affinity Photo about the possibility of working with them to make a plugin for Qimage.  We have not gotten a response. '

so again there reply after I posted that 'Hi Russ,
I don't know to which address they have sent the e-mail nor what may have happened. I have checked their webpage and this plugin does seem to require automation. '

As I am not tech minded not sure what is ment by  this plugin does seem to require automation.

Thankyou,
Russ.

It's possible they were busy when we contacted them or our email didn't get to the best person.  Would you mind sending me a private message with the person's name/email who contacted you from Affinity?  We'd like to try again to get a dialog started and if you already got a related reply, the person you spoke to may be the best contact.

Regards,
Mike
