I find that the printer that I output to with Qimage prints a bit dark. I usually lighten most images before printing. Can i set a permanent correction?

Are you using an OEM profile for the printer and paper choice? Perhaps a profile from some other source?

If you are using a proper profile and driver settings are correct in Qimage and the actual driver, then it is most likely your monitor is too bright.

Not an OEM profile. I print to multiple printers from the computer, mostly from photoshop. The monitor is calibrated for a different larger printer. I use Qimage for bulk printing smaller prints. Is a constant correction possible?

Yes you can.
See screen snaps. Lower right corner of main screen, choose  a filter that works for you; up brightness, etc.
