Now I use a pocket camera the Sony RX100 II.
No need to LOL....
Good photos are a result of good lighting and your good eye.
Most all cameras today are quite capable.
But I took a look to see if Mike had a profile for your camera, anyway.
I am not sure. I have a notation in my Profile folder, but I cannot find the actual profile.
But!
Look what I did find!
Your camera is included in the lens distortion correction built into Qimage

I have DXO OpticsPro 11 which does a fine job for lens correction. Good to know Qimage has it also... Qimage seems to do more than what I ever thought. I tried the Canon PRO Platinum paper and still can't get 1200 PPI.

See attached screen snap.,
Is yours, the same?
Also double check earlier suggestion to make sure you didn't override.
Did you go into CUSTOM and see the slider is set to 1

Fred
PS Gary,
In the box that says 600, does it say High 600 or max 600?

I think I found it.
Please confirm.
This is the only way I can get 600 with all the same settings.
Make sure that you have photo Printing selected and not Standard. See screen snap
Standard makes them all 600

See final snap
You need to set bottom of that screen to HIGH also besides the top to Photo Printing

But if I set my printer to high, which is the way I have always had it. I lose it when I set the print quality to Custom with the slider all the way to the right. It takes that high setting and calls it custom. Screen shot of this setting. Always been this way when I print a photo

That's fine. Custom is correct after you set the slider to Number 1.
It should read 1200 now

After opening Qimage how do I get to the printer settings before I pick a photo? It seems I have to pick a photo to get to it and then it starts the printing process automatically. Soooo many questions. Sorry...Still no 1200PPI also what is the N after the PRO Platinum paper for? Never mind on the N. It's a newer version of the paper.

Gary,
What is your driver version number.
Mike just called and he suspects we might have different driver versions.
Look in the Maint tab and click about

Mine is 2.85

Do a recall on saved printer setups, or go to the settings tab and select your paper etc. manually.

Mine was 2.75 I now have 2.86
I check about 4 days ago and it said drivers were up to date. I went to the Canon web site and updated the driver. You can't alway count on what your computer says.

OK Gary. Seems like we are getting close to the answer.

Mike Chaney checkd the drivers, and you are running normal for the driver version. He gets the same as you get using the new 2.86 driver.

So breathe easy. You are doing nothing wrong, just the labeled number seems not to be changing from 600 to 1200.
It could be just a cosmetic bug in the new driver where they forgot to make the report change to 1200, or it could be that 1200 is not doing any more than 600.
Mike is going to check it out. He has a P-100 and it works like yours.
I am using the driver that came on the DVD with the printer.
