Have set up the email direct function and, after an initial repeated problem (my error), it works well. During the process I found that the help button on the email form displays a spurious message (package default?).

Another observation, loading large images into the "edit page" and "edit image" windows seems to take much, much longer than QS and screen refreshes, also sporadic and slower. Is this to be expected?

Still not convinced about the pop-up print size window. Seems to get in the way all the time .... but it's probably because I haven't stubbled upon the appropriate "new" work flow.

Have ocassionally experienced an "ntdll.dll" related error but QU has proceeded.

I'm running both QS and QU in Win7 64bit. Are there any recommendations as to what mode (eg XP sp3) it should be run it?

Thanks

Peter

PS was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which I received the registered download link.

Hi Peter...I am no expert. Just testing Ultimate myself (will purchase when funds are available)..but,

regarding the "print pop-up", if you "left-click" the + sign in the bottom right of your cached thumbnail photo, it will print the size indicated (shows with mouse hover-over).

If you right-click on that same + sign, the pop-up will open and give you the opportunity to change the size of your print. It eliminates the need to double click to get you photo ready to print.

I know that I am not using all of the correct window descriptions in Ultimate; however, I hope it makes sense to you. Very simple and much easier once you learn a new habit.

Hope this helps.

I assume you are talking about non-raw images?
There is in QU a fade-in on those windows; it appears to be slower but I don't think it is in reality but I've not timed it.

Raw images are very much quicker due to the new cache system.

Thanks Ken. Even then the "print size" box seems to pop up when not required or intended. Maybe with more use I will get to see what Mike is intending.

Anyone else experienced an error message "A call to an OS function failed", which required a re-install?
