Just installed the trial but now have a question??? I recall that somewhere I read that QSE and QU can share their application data even though they are installed in separate folders, was this right? And indeed did I read that even if the trial of QU is uninstalled the shared application data is unaffected and QSE will continue as 'normal'??? Right the reason for the question is that I had forgotten that I when I installed QSE I made the folder for the application data on another drive i.e. not the default root path in docs & settings. So for the purposes of the trial and future buying (? ;) ) should I uninstall QU and reinstall selecting the path to my QSE application data folder??? I am sure that simply copying the folder contents and overwriting the QSE folder contents will mess up the QU uninstaller record ~ therefore not good practice! Post by: admin on August 22, 2010, 01:27:35 AM Yes, I'd recommend reinstalling QU and pointing its application data folder to the same folder you use in QSE. Doing that will allow the sharing-but-not-interfering that is referenced on the web site.

Many thanks for the qualified feedback I needed. 8) as always :) Right off to uninstall & reinstall with navigating to my chosen application data folder instead of 'accepting' the default offered as "just" done. |
