When Qimage saves a Job setting, it saves all the images now in the queue. But it doesn't ever seem to save the path that was used at the time you selected the images from the thumbnail panel.

That is: When the restored job appears, the thumbnail images don't change from the previous job, which you are now replacing.

When recalling a previously saved job, is there a way to get ALL of the information in a single shot: printer settings, page settings, queue, AND the previously saved directory containing the images?

The thumbnail images are what Qimage sees in the currently selected folder. They change when you change folders.

The saved JOB saves everything related to what was in the queue, page size, profile, prints sizes and images, printer, and anything else related to the job.
If you moved the images to a different location, OPEN job can no longer find the images, and it loads everything else except images.

Sometimes, I did move the images to a storage hard drive.  I use the Qimage data search engine to find and recover the images and the folder. When Qimage sees the recovered folder, it now shows the thumbnails you want.

The thumbnail grid shows your current location.  It cannot be assumed that you want to leave your current location to view thumbnails from one of the (potentially multiple) folders used in the job when a job is opened.  Your job may contain images from multiple folders.  You may have navigated the thumbnail viewer to a new folder and then wish to open an old job to replace/add images from that new folder, at which point you don't want the thumbnail viewer to automatically leave your current location.  Etc.

If you open a job and then wish to view the thumbnails in a particular print's folder, you have to tell QU that is your intention: right click on a print in the Live View and select "Browse Selected Image's Folder".

Aha — that's the ticket, then. I hadn't seen that menu item. Select the image and press Shift+Control+B. That's plenty fast enough.

Thanks.
