Is there a method (or an option) to NOT have to use the screen that immediately displays after clicking Properties (Print quality and color management settings must be made manually in your printer driver).

I don't either want (or need) this screen for my usage of (QI-U) Qimage Ultimate.  This apparently was added just to remind limited experienced users of QI-U to make those settings.  This is just a waste of time for experienced users.  If not already available, Perhaps this screen could be set to use (or not to use) as an option.

In EDIT Preferences,  Printer driver Helper Dialogue. Turn it off.
Also check "When Qimage Ult starts..... "  You can select which tab screen to open

Thanks Fred.  Evidently this setting was recently added since I was using my last DL (v2017-114) and it was not in that version.  So, I DL the current 119 version and it is there for use.

Thanks for your help.  I definitely was not able to find what was needed in v114.
My Regards, Vernon....

My pleasure Vern.
But to all.....   When your Qimage Ultimate says, a newer version is available, located top just left of center, Click.
In under a minute including getting the email with password, you will have the latest and greatest

Fred, the details regarding "updating to the latest version" is of course normal.  However, (in my opinion) it would be helpful if more specific information was provided of what changes and additions that are included in each new available version.  This would serve to inform ALL users of what is in each updated version as they become available -- instead of either guessing, hunting for changes and additions, or continuing to not know what is in a new version.

Certainly, some of the above mentioned items are identified in the post regarding a version (such as Ruler), etc, but I did not see any mention of the feature that my original post was regarding.

Specifically -- what version was the function added.

It was not in 114 and was in 119.  It was perhaps included with the mentioned changes/additions to UI but this is not adequate to know of specific details (for a new version) and unless (Needed -- in my case) otherwise I would perhaps never know of the added function. Many Other QI-U users may never know.

Vern,
It's unfortunate that you missed the exchange of posts between Mike and Ernst and a few other with HP Z printers. They were complaining that the helper screen was slowing the program, blocking other screens, and was not needed or wanted.
Of course, new users would need that screen so he couldn't just eliminate it.
Instead he installed an on/off switch for that helper screen.
That was followed by thank you posts.
I dug out a few but there was another thread also about it. Not going to bother to find it.
So maybe you check in here more often and not play hookie.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Fred, thanks for the feedback.  I do check into the QI-U Forum fairly frequently but primarily to check (the top posts by the "Admin")  primarily to be aware of latest changes and additions to QI-U.
I choose to (selectively) read various posts by others somewhat less frequently.

Hopefully, it is not necessary to read ALL posts in order to be aware of latest changes and additions.  This could be compared to having to read an entire News Paper just to be aware of the Headlines.

There was no (at top) post by the ADMIN regarding v118 indicating the ON/OFF switch had been added (in v118) --so--that is the reason I originally entered my post about the need for this change.

Thanks again for your help and dedication to helping others with QI-U.
