Hi all,

i would like to split a panorama image into x single prints. Basically splitting the long panorama.

e.g.
- Panorama is 15 x 50 cm
- Paper is 10 x 15cm
--> I would like to have 5 prints 15x10 each

Whats the best way to do this in Qimage Ultimate?

Dennis, it looks like I can suggest a ay that works for me, but maybe someone knows a better way.
(using one of my Panos) I opened it in the Image editor, and looked at the Pixel width; divide by 5 and I got close to 4000 per image.
Then I used the crop tool in the editor to crop 4000 wide giving me 5 progressive  images of 4000 each  covering the 20000 pixels.
I am not good in metrics so I used 2 x 3 inches for my sample

thank you. Im quite new to Qimage. When i open the image in the editor i see the width and could devide it by 3000px. But where is the function that crops it into progressive images?

OOPS, my fault.
In the image editor, click FILE and save as.... give it a unique name, and OK out

As you drag the crop left to right, the size is showing right next to your cursor that you are dragging.

I interpretted your question a bit differently than Fred.  If you're not looking to split an image into parts and you just want to print a poster that is 5x1 sheets using 4x6 paper, here's my video response showing how to do that using the poster printing feature:

Hi,

i just tried both solutions (without printing yet) - and they both seem to work. The Post Option is a bit easier than cropping 5 times i guess, but on the other hand it the 5 pages can be adjusted manually.
I tried the Poster before, but i always thought it didn't work because i didn't understand the 5x1 - also great tip to use the preview.

Thanks so much for the best support i've seen so far Wink - how often do you get a personalized support video within 1 hours?! Glas to support your work.

You're welcome.  It's something new I'm trying out when a response requires going through an explanation or a number of steps.  I have to open QU to describe and then write down the steps anyway so it seems to work better (and faster) for both parties if I just open the software and capture what I'm doing.
