I stayed like 3 or 4 versions behind from .236 and .237 until I finally updated it, thumb refresh was working fine like always, but now with version .236 and .237 thumb refresh don't work, if I make a change to a design in Photoshop and save it won't refresh in Qimage, the only way to see the updated thumb is by hitting it with Ctrl + F5 to make it rebuild the thumbs, this takes a lot a time specially with folders with a lot of files, before it was possible to refresh the image already in the Queue after a re-saved change by just clicking the image already in the Queue, not anymore.

I'll appreciate if this gets resolve ASAP since this really is affecting my workflow, I'm using Qimage Ultimate in Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits.

Thank you.

No sir, It does work.
See snap attached.
That is the OK button you click AFTER you come out of Photo Shop.
If you click it before you open PS, then you have defeated it

It says, Click OK when Finished editing.

Oh, I see... your way is by invoking Photoshop withing Qimage, this won't work for me, the way that I/we do it...  is by making the changes and saving withing Photoshop from other remote users that makes the updates in a DropBox shared folder so that then I do the printouts, usually there never was a problem refreshing the Thumbs, I can see the updated version if i open it with Qimage editor but it never refreshes the thumbs in the browser or even in the queue.

Thank you.

Ok, here is a short video showing the problem I'm talking about.

http://youtu.be/4SzVB5Bpl7c

This looks like it might be a Dropbox problem.  QU knows when to rebuild thumbnails by checking the file modified date and my bet is Dropbox isn't updating that date properly, or their driver isn't showing the proper date on client computers.  Just so I have the full picture, are you looking at a Dropbox folder that has been updated by someone on another computer?  Or are you editing the file on the same computer and then coming back to QU?  Also, have you tried a refresh (F5) instead of a Ctrl-F5?  If F5 isn't working, the file modified date is definitely not being updated when the file is edited in PhotoShop.

Mike,

I only mentioned the Dropbox folder to make a point that Fred's suggestion won't work for me by invoking Photoshop withing QU, the example in the video I done it locally in the same computer, I open the file in Photoshop make changes,  save it, then go back to QU and nothing... just don't work like it used to, yes I hit F5 key to refresh and nothing happen (I forgot to do that at the time of the video), I only use Crt-F5 when i was trying to find the problem, and I found out that it is the only way the refreshes the thumbs but this is not a viable solution, actually, before I didn't need to hit the F5 key, all I had to do was click the image already in the queue and it would refresh with the updated  version, I really don't mind seen the updated version on the browser, all I care is the queue one so I can print the newest version of the image, I even try it in a different computer to make sure it was not a local problem with my main computer, but the problem is exactly the same.

Thank you.

I just wanted to clarify that I don't believe is a time stamp modification problem from any of the file sources, everything displays thumbs like it should be, I have Google Picasa, Adobe Bridge, Corel Connect, Adobe Lightroom and of course windows file browser and all display thumbs correctly, I used them all with time modified setting to display them most resent on top... and that is how all of them display them, and with the updated thumb in the case that there is modifications to files.

Am I the only one with this problem with QU?

I just installed .240 with hopes that the thumbs problem would be fixed, but no luck... the problem still there.  Sad

I love Qimage (When it works), I have been a user for many years... more than 10, since then it has been the only software that I have been using for printing, and also for engraving, yes that's right I also send engraving jobs to an engraver, perhaps I'm the only person ever to use Qimage for engraving also, and never had any problems or complains until now, but it appears like this problem is not important enough to consider fixing, perhaps is time for me to look for another solution since this problem it is really affecting my workflow considerably, I'll wait for one more update version to make a decision.

F5 does work.  The only thing I've seen that can affect it is a timing issue on some systems where the video driver doesn't update some of the images on the thumbnails if they are in the process of being rebuilt.

If that affects you, press F5 a second time and it will work!  I'm still looking for a fix but the double F5 in the meantime is a simple workaround.  Just because it didn't get fixed in 3 days doesn't mean  I'm not working on it!

patience S'il vous plaît

If it was PSE you would wait 12 month and then pay £$70 quid for the new version.

Mike, your work around didn't worked, still is all the same, take a look at this new VIDEO http://youtu.be/Q8lUzyu8tms, there you can see how the thumbs refreshes instantly without pushing a refreshing in Adobe Bridge, I even refreshed it 4 times in QU in my last test and it didn't worked.

Well, in your first reply you infer that the problem was in mi side and not a QU problem and followed by 2 posts that were ignored (after your first reply, but I actually report this problem 8 days ago), I thought that you had no interest in fixing this problem, but that's good to hear that you are actually looking for a solution.

Thank you.

Mike,

I forgot to comment in my previous post that the last version of QU without this problem that I used was .140, and I stayed without upgrading up to .234 since this version the problem has been there until the most current version .240... if this helps.
