I just upgraded from v116 to v119. I've chosen short by date descending. the Images now appear to be sorted randomly (I'm sure it's not random, I just can't tell how they're sorted). I also have Qstudio v2010.209 the same directory still sorts as QU v116 did. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what else to check except sort order.

The sort actually didn't change unless you have multiple files with the same date/time.  Prior to 118 and 119, files with the same date/time would sort randomly.  Now there is a subsort by file name but only among files with exactly the same date/time.

Can you give screen shot(s) or further details?  Both date sorts have been tested and are working fine on all my tests so I need specifics.

Thanks,
Mike

Never mind!  I think I found the problem where 118 and 119 could become "unsorted" in some directories.  The fix is in 120.

v120 got the thumb sort back to what I'd expect.

Thanks for the quick work.

Yes, I also had problems with sort by date in 118.  A directory with about 2000 jpgs (no burst shots or subsecond timings) appeared to be sorted randomly - entire days were not together.  Upgrading to 121 appears to have fixed it.
