Is this correct? - whenever clicking on the print sizes in the Prints tab....it produces a print job?Huh??

- say you can't make up your mind what sizes to choose from the Prints Tab - and you try a few sizes - wallet, passport ....fit to page, fit to paper......voila a print job is created in the Queue tab from every click of those sizes as you explore the options...... WTF.

The previous versions do not do that - it should only be print job only when i press the print button !!!!!

And what's the function of the Queue tab displaying all these clicks of the sizes - is the printer meant to print every job in the queue? If yes - then that is not correct as I did not create those jobs, i had merely clicked on the sizes in the Print tab to explore what my print will look like.

To do what you want to do, uncheck the thumbnail after adding one print to the Queue, then select the print in the preview, then click your various print sizes to see that single print change size.

I can see what you are doing that is incorrect and why you get additional prints in the queue.
The correct way to change size of an image in the queue is to either select it by a click on it, and then hit any size one after the other and the print will change, or look at the screen snap and you can see a dot in a selection telling Qimage what you want it to do when you click a new size.
That should straighten out the dilemma.

John brings up a good way to approach it.   Left Brain. Right Brain.
Qimage offers a priority to the left side when you select a thumb, and assumes you want action on it.
By selecting an image on the right side of the thumbs in the print screen, you are changing the priority to the the right side.
So John is saying, Deselect that left side selection, and switch to right side by selecting an image on the right side, in the queue.
... and yes, the Queue tab is showing you what Qimage is going to print when you click the print  button. (I forgot that part in my earlier post)

Hmmm....this is starting to look a bit dodgy....for some reason it's getting worse for me. It's a bit of a hit and miss now and the software seems to be getting worse - now even Fit to page crops my images a bit - i'm not able to get 100% of the image!!!

If i unselect the thumbnail it won't display the different sizes so that won't work......

i've played with it some more....it's not good - Fit to Page no longer gives me 100% of my image - it's slightly cropped.

I've re-installed - no improvement.

To see the sizes, you must have the PRINT TAB selected. In your first post you were complaining that selecting different sizes caused additional images to be added to the screen. You need that same sizes screen called PRINTS.
Deselecting Thumbs, has nothing to do with the right side of the screen where sizes are shown.
The Fit to page does not crop unless you tell it to. Turn off the auto crop scissors.
See screen snaps.
Now I am wondering what version of QU you are  running?

OK - highlighting the Print allows me to try out different sizes without generating a new print queue.

I've managed to get back 100% of the image by untoggling the auto crop scissors but it is still inconsistent. I can easily get it to get stuck by going from 'Fit to page' to 'Fit to paper' and then back to 'Fit to page'...the image is cropped even though the auto cropping scissors is off. I have to manually press the auto cropping scissors twice to bring back 100%.

 Huh?

Qimage is supposed to make printing effortless - but this is not how it is turning out for me. It's quite stressful to have to take note that it is printing 100% because the settings don't do what it say.....Fit to page must give me 100%. It doesn't - i have to manually click on the auto scissors thing twice to see my image come back !!!!

I am afraid that you need a refresher on the program. Make QU open with the crop scissors off, and it will not cause you any misunderstanding.
My default is OFF!
The fit to paper is a special sizing, not for normal printing.

After playing a bit - to confirm the image is 100% I will look for four tiny green buttons  on each corner of the print. When it is cropped the buttons go red. So that's a good confirmation for me that I will be getting 100% of my image printed when i get four tiny green button.

Feature request - a much bigger indication/indicator to confirm it is a 100% image - maybe a large nice green box just right under the image whenever it is a 100%. It can get tiring to always have to ensure that the 4 very tiny buttons are green for 100% - especially when it's late at night and one has already done lots of print jobs and there are more to do.

But I can confirm that Fit to Page does not work when you toggle other sizes and come back to Fit to Page. You have to click Auto Cropping Scissors twice to enforce Fit to Page to work as advertised ie. produce a 100% image.
