I'm just moving my stuff to a new Win 7 computer.

I'm getting a "range check error" at the end of the print to file process.  File looks OK as far as I can tell.

What's up?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
This happens in W7? 32 or 64 bit?
Could you supply some details; print to file, page size, resolution, and profiles to be embedded, using the printer dot or the web dot, and anything out of the ordinary with the source image.?
Will it print to paper OK?
Can you repeat the error, or was it just on that session with Qimage.? Are you running the latest version of Qimage, and which level; Studio or Pro or Lite?
All this will help.

OS = Win 7 Professional 64-bit
Qimage installed in Program Files x86
I only print to file and send to lab.
Qimage Pro, latest;
All print sizes, tried both pyramid and hybrid processes;
I've rebooted and restarted, happens every time.

Are you also installed in C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage    ??
In order to try to replicate, it would be helpful to be able to repeat your settings.
Dot in RGB or printer?
Any profile that will be embedded?
What sizes... page and resolution?
Any and all information you can supply would help.

OK, this is interesting.  It only happens when printing in Landscape.  Portrait orientation is OK.

No, installation is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Qimage";

Profile is sRGB for commercial printer;

I've done a bunch of sizes, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, & 16x20.

Scratch that.  It's happening on the same shot in portrait 4x6.  When I get the error, it does not ask to delete the queue.

I'm printing directly from 16-bit PSD files.

Let me see if I can find someone to make a PSD file in 16 bit around here.
What are the settings,,,,, resolution and page size. You gave me print size.
Thanks,
fred

Please check whether you have Qimage installed in this location besides the x86

No DDI Software folder in Program Files (x86) or Program Files.

Should I reinstall?  I need to make sure I don't lose any of my setup data but I think that's elsewhere, right?

See screen snaps.
I don't know if you manipulated the locations when you installed Qimage or not.
As you click Next during the install procedure, see that the paths look like image 28, and then next screen, image 29.

Please tell me the resolution, page size, and whether you are creating a TIF or a JPG.
I cannot help you if you don't supply the info I need to try to repeat what you are getting.

I had the same problem of not finding the folders as Fred is showing. I went to Control Panel/Folders Options/Show Hidden files  and selected unhide folders. When I went back to the C: program data (right below Program Files x86)-  was there and all the files Fred is showing were in that directory. For some reason the show hidden files things is set as a default and you can't ever find what your looking for. Anyway, hope that helps...

I've got those.  I did not change anything during installation.

Application in "Program Files (x86)\Qimage".

Application Data in "ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage".

I guess all the specs I asked you for 5 times must be a secret.
Sorry,  Cannot repeat the problem without knowing the page size and resolution and tif or jpg; everythying you are doing, step by step.

Sorry if I didn't cover everything.  I'll try again.

Win 7, 64 bit;
Qimage, 2010.104, default install, no changes.
Input is PSD.
Output is JPG
Printer ICC = sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Interp = Hybrid
Sharpen = 5
Background color = black
Print sizes = paper sizes
Sometimes I crop in QImage, others did not need cropping.
No borders;
All sizes of prints 4x6 up to 16x20 show the Range Check Error.
I just installed on this computer a few days ago so I don't think I've made any other changes.

What did I miss?
