My Epson Stylus Photo R800 began to show signs of distress in early December after 7 years of
excellent performance and reliability.  All my photos are printed using QU and Epson's own print
profiles for that printer.  It finally gave up the ghost on January 2nd and I was about to start
looking for a replacement when my wife announced that she had bought me an Epson L355
Eco Tank printer as a Birthday present (February 20th).  This is no match for the R800 but I
am determined to get the best results I can out of QU and that's where my question comes in.
There are no Epson Print profiles specific to the L355 and I'd got so used to using the R800
profiles that I'm somewhat puzzled as to the best entry in the "Prtr ICC" field for the L355. I've
printed a few photos using "Let printer/driver manage colour", and the results have been good
but nowhere near the excellent results from the R800.  Can anyone advise me of any better
setting(s) in the Prtr ICC field for the L355?  Many thanks for any help.

Hi Mike,)
The only other setting that might improve 'Let printer Manage Color" which uses this profile,(C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage\pRGB.icm
Is to set the printer driver to ICM.

Beyond that, you could make your own printer profiles using Profile Prism. This is another product that Mike Chaney developed and works extremely well.

Good luck,

Hi Fred: thanks for replying - much appreciated. Changing the L355 Colour
Correction setting to "ICM" has in fact improved output from "Good" to "Very
Good", which I think I can live with.  But I did like the Stylus Photo R800!
If I become disappointed I'll have another look at Prism, but will being in
the Uk add to the cost significantly?

Regards - Mike
