I'm new here, but not at all new to Qimage. What I can't seem to discover is a way to clean up the pull-down menu for past folders used. I have deleted many of them, and can't find a way to take them out of the lineup.

You are referring to the history drop down, right?
There's a tiny black arrow that you click on to drop that menu down. Istead of a normal left mouse click, do a Right mouse button click, and you will see, ADD this one, Remove this one, or Clear the whole thing.
That should do it.
