Am running a new Windows 7 computer.  Downloaded qimage v.2007.172, because I was a registered user in the past.  Also running Epson 4900.

I don't know how to get to the paper profiles in Qimage. Used to be a box that you would push to change the paper profile.

Also, would my paper profiles be in Qimage.  If not, how do I get them there and where would I find them on my computer.

Thanks for your help

I think you are asking two questions.

Where are the printer profiles kept?
Answer is, the same as always even in XP or Vista.

C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

In the hope that you saved the data from your old computer, you would have to copy the contents of that folder in the old computer, and PASTE it into the same location in the new computer.

If that is not a choice, then you will have to replenish the printer profiles by reinstalling from the Epson web page.

Third choice, (Easy for me to do) I have the Epson 4900 profiles on my computer. Just say OK, and I will send them to you in a zip file.
Just unzip and place the profiles into that directory/folder   C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

Might be a part two to your question?   Are you also asking about: Where are my saved printer setups in Qimage?

Let me know.

Fred:

Yes this is a two part question.  The first problem is that I cannot get to System 32 but I don't have anything called spool.   I have
spoolss.dll and spoolsv.  Any advice on how I can get to spool\drivers\color?

If I can get there I can check to see what profiles are in there.  If I don't have what I need I might have to request you send me the zip file.

The second part of the question was in relationship to the Qimage Interface.  How would I select the paper profile to use?

Thank you for your help and patience.

Fred:

Thanks for your help.  I think I have solved the problem.  I found the place on the Qimage interface to get to my paper profiles which all seem to be there.

So I am still curious, as to where, spool/driver/color is but it is no longer "life" threatening.

Hi Merrill
Sometimes, our eye deceives us...
System 32, and Spool, and drivers, Color, are all yellow folders.
System 32 is inside the Windows folder.  So you have  C:\Windows\system32..........

Spool is inside System32, and drivers is inside Spool.....  Color inside of Drivers, and your profiles, inside Color.  So you will have....   C:\Windows\system32\Spool\Drivers\Color.

You have to double click each folder to open it and find the next one.

Not allowed more than 4 screen snaps on here.  So if you are still fuzzy, email me and I can make better explanations with better screen snaps.
