Hello!

I am just getting started. Mac, Qimage One, Canon 4100 dual roll. I can print fine on sheet paper either through Lightroom Qimage plugin or direct through Qimage. I can't seem to print on the roll paper though. It is crashing every time I try to print on either Roll 1 or Roll 2. It may be my confusion over orientation. I am entering a paper size 44" x 22" to print a pano that is 40x18. Softproofing function works, but when I print the file, the window pops up "Processing page: 1" for about a minute, then it crashes.

The file is 19440x8640 pixels, but I've saved it as 8 bit so it should not be too big. Prints ok through the Lightroom pipeline (not using Qimage plugin). Below is a screenshot of the settings.

2018 MBP, 32gb, Catalina 10.15.4.

Also, this is an embarrassing question, but I don't really know what Qimage means by Portrait and Landscape as it relates to roll paper. I assume Portrait means "head-first", while Landscape means "right side-first". It does not have anything to do with dimensions. At least that is the way it seems to work. Is that correct? For example, in the screenshot the page orientation is correct: Roll is 44" wide, cut 22" long piece, Portrait orientation.

I tried turning off sharpening in Q1. Still crashed.

Portrait would mean as viewed in the default orientation with respect to the printer (usually tall and narrow), while landscape would be the opposite. For roll paper, it is possible to print portrait where the width is wider then the height of the print, as you show here.

All you need to do is look at the line of dashes along the edge of the paper on the Live View. This shows where the roll will be cut and gives a clear indication of how the print will come out of the printer.

Qimage One v2020.106 released May 18, 2020 includes a fix for this problem. You can update through the application itself, or by entering your email address on the Update page:

Thanks for letting us know! By the way, I saw you requested a change to your registered email. We can do that, no problem, but the last registration email we sent bounced because your mail box was full. I just wanted to let you know in case that was the reason you were requesting the change.

Thank you, Andrew. I did want to change the email regardless. I noticed it was full too. I never use that email so had no idea it was full before I went to debug why I didn't get the Qimage email.
