Win 7  Q Pro  Epson 3800.
I usually print several A3 size prints at a time on Enhanced Matte paper.  I note since I had to transfer everything to a new C drive, on occasion, the paper type will change to letter size and appear as though the wrong profile used.  Worse, on occasion I will press for a print and find the printer changing to Photo Black ink!  I correct the settings and it all goes well until it happens again without warning.  Any thoughts?

Q pro is too far back for me to remember.... do you can you save the printer settings when you are all set and about to print. That would allow you to recall that setting with all the needed options; paper type, profile, quality and Color Management off.
When the paper changes to Plain and all settings go to default it is usually due to Qimage changing printers between usages.
The changing of the black is controlled by the paper selection, I believe.  If glossy or semi gloss is selected in the driver, the ink changes to PK
Yes, I just checked that. The MK switches to PK and back depending on which type of paper.

When you replaced the Dard Disk C drive, did you copy all of the Qimage data from the old one... all the setups and ini files?

Gave it some more thought.
I would uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Did it again today.  Recalled a job and it changed to Photo Black.  Thanks for the suggestions Fred.  I'll uninstall the driver for the Epson and reinstall.
