Hi Bill,
Quote
what does the 1x2 or 2x2 at top left of the queued photo mean?
That mean the photo size selected is bigger than the printable area of the page and Qimage is telling that it will print the image over 2 (1x2) or 4 (2x2) sheets of paper.
I've simulated the problem, see attached screen shots below.
The first shows the image in the preview with a red 2x2 showing.
The printable area reported above the preview is 291x204mm. The full page is A4 297x210mm.
The second screen shot shows the queue with a size of 300x219.9mm.

It sounds as though you have made a print size exactly as the paper size and not allowed for the paper margins where no ink can be applied.
Use fit to page to fill the printable area or use a border setting in the driver.

There a couple of Learning Videos that cover this point : -

Bill,
If Terry mixes you up with his millimeters, litres, and kilograms, just call me!
He prints colour pictures. I print color pictures.   Grin Cheesy Huh? Tongue

Obviously, Terry is a good friend.

Now that you guys told me the answer to my question, it does seem pretty obvious.  I should have figured that one out. Thx Terry and Fred.
As a quick update, my learning curve is moving forward quite quickly now.  Prints are turning out great.  I'm sure I'll come up with so more lame questions, but, so far, I couldn't be more pleased with Qimage.   It's terrific.
