Title: Where can I download Studio version of QImage?
Post by: mmehrle on April 10, 2010, 11:28:37 PM
I bought QImage Studio back in 2007 but am neither able to download the latest nor the old version. As I bought the product I think I have the right to download at least the old version I purchases. Where/how can I do that?

Thanks!

Michael

It sounds like you might need a new password to be able to download a registered version.
If that is so, then http://www.ddisoftware.com/forms/code.html  would be the place to start.

Mike takes care of orders and renewals as quickly as they come in to him.
The problem, invariably, turns out to be a Spam filter or a bad email address.
Please check any Spam filters that you have or that your ISP has turned on for you in the mail server.
Sometimes, as in Gmail for example, the Spam box is online.
In W7 Livemail, it is in my computer.

If you have changed email addresses since the last time you had something sent to you, you would have to place that into the comments box.

Have a look around!

Of course I checked my spam box and there's nothing. I also sent him another message yesterday and thus far no response. FYI - I am getting emails from everyone I write to usually. I also used to be a software engineer and have run my own mail servers in the past - I would know if this was the case.

Customer service sucks - six days and counting.

Do you have the same email address now that you had when you last ordered?
In other words, if you changed your email address since 2007, and neglected to provide the old email address as outlined in the instructions, there would be no way for the computer to find a match. In that case, he would send a reply asking you to fill out the form again, including your old email address in the comments box.

I have attached a snap of the pertinent paragraph below.

As for knowing .....   because you used to be..... and you used to have...... well, only lately, have ISPs invoked spam blocker on their servers, and many times the customer doesn't realize it until something like this happens.
So have a look anyway and see if there's a Spam blocker in operation.

Best of luck,
Fred

I would think that if you've been in the business, it wouldn't be that difficult to get an email address that works... and you probably wouldn't be relying on a Yahoo email address!  On April 11 at 8:57am eastern time, you were sent an automated reply from the system (to the Yahoo email address you used on the form) advising you that you didn't follow directions when you filled out the form.  You used a brand new (Yahoo) email address that you've never used before and you didn't include your old email address in the message section of the form as requested so we can verify your account.  Apparently you never got that "invalid email address" message.  Today you sent another email from the same Yahoo email account and I replied immediately advising you to check your spam/junk filter.  Since you're using Yahoo, you'd have to log into Yahoo online to do that.  My guess is that all my messages to you are sitting in an overzealous spam folder on your Yahoo account.

Just wondering if you ever got the emails from Qimage that you needed to download and unlock the latest version of Qimage.
You haven't posted anything since.
If you haven't received anything, then perhaps, after your account is verified, your code can be sent to me and I relay it to you??

Yes he's one in a million too on customer service. If he says he's sent you something, he really has!

You are seriously pissing me off now, mate.
I expect the feeling is mutual.
Get your e-mail sorted out; this problem is a really old chestnut and it's always the same problem.
Terry.

Hi Michael,

It is quite easy to obtain your new information - all explained in the Request Download Password and Updated Unlock Information page. I had to do that a year or two back. If you've lost the original references, it is explained that you need to re-register. It is obviously the users fault if they change their email address, or don't keep records of passwords, etc. If you have to re-register, then there has to be a manual validation search through historic data to find if it is a genuine user with a valid request, or if it is someone trying to get a virtually free copy of the software by fraudulent methods. There is a small fee for that search, since, after all it is the user's fault that they have not kept adequate records, and it takes time to recover the information.

You may have to wait a few days for a response, but what is the panic? It appears it hasn't been used much since 2007.

If Mike has said that he has replied to your emails, then that is certainly what he has done. However, proof of posting is not proof of delivery, and it is likely that it has got lost on the way.

fwiw, when I was supplying customers via email some years ago, I would not deal with some folk with Yahoo or Hotmail and others, by association I found them to be untrustworthy  :o . In fact I'd put it more politely on my website by saying 'Due to increased level of spam we have installed some message filters, so if you email us from AOL, Excite, Yahoo or Hotmail, then we will never see your email.'

Anyway, If you can't get two way communication via email, you could try the old fashioned way via post, I guess.

Best wishes,

Ray
