Hi,

I had to make a print on my epson 9600 printer with a length of 13 meters. Spooling seemed to go ok, and the printer started printing. But after 6 meters some white squares appeared in the print and half a meter later it stopped printing entirely.

Could this be a spool file size problem maybe? Would I need a 64 bit system to be able to create larger spool files?

Thanks for any help.

I don't know what system you are on, so generically:

You can create a separate partition or drive for spooling and direct the print spooler to it.  That's why many RIPs are on their own, stand-alone machine.

Personally, I'd put my money on a memory issue.

This is almost certainly a spooling issue. You can get round this by using example 6a in the 'Learn by Example' section of Help.
Basically you set the page length in QI to a smaller size - say 1 metre. When you load the file, answer 'Yes' to 'Span multiple pages'. QI will cut the image into exact 1m chunks, and the 7900 will butt them together perfectly (turn off automatic cutting  Smiley).
