After I have worked on photos in Qimage Ultimate and save them.  I will open the photos in windows live photo gallery to view them.  They look very bark and when I print them, they come out very dark. They look good in Qimage, but do not print like they look.  How can I correct this?

When you say you saved them, what do you mean? You saved the filters or created new JPGS?
Sounds like you saved the filters which is correct, and then print from Qimage and your prints should look right.
If you look at the images using Windows Photo Gallery, that will not see the Qimage filters. So what ever you "worked on" will be ignored.
Convert to a jpg in Qimage and view that in Photo Gallery.

I save them by using the (save as) up in the left hand corner.  I do not save the filters.

Still not clear to me.... If you do SAVE AS while in the image editor, and you have adjusted a few items in the editor, and they are showing in the Editor screen, then SAVE AS will incorporate those filters into the new JPG.

You should get a similar screen to this picture.

If your Save AS is incorporating the edit changes you made, and still very dark, we need to start over with your steps.
What image type Raw or JPG, from the camera?
What color space selected?
You open the image in Qimage and then what do you do?

How does it print when you print from Qimage?

Qimage the print area states poster mode when I use 4x6 paper for a 4x6 print.  Can you change or turn off poster mode?

Terry,
That question gets asked often.
Qimage knows what it is doing!
You get Poster Mode anytime the size print exceeds the paper size.
But you say, It doesn't exceed the paper size, it is the same.
Ah, Please look above the preview panel upper right side, and read the printable area of a 4 x 6 sheet.
It is 5.766 x 3.766... smaller than 4 x 6
You would need to set the print size to FIT TO PAGE to make your 4 x 6 (or borderless printing)

The other contributing factor is teh default print size that you have set in Qimage. When you open Qimage, it remembered the last page size you used, and it also remembers your DEFAULT print size.
Mine is 8 x 10... so if I last used 4 x 6 paper, next time I open Qimage, I will get Poster Size.  8 x 10 will not fit on a 4 x 6 paper.

That having been said, the cure is to set the closing paper size to something larger than your default print size, or set the default print size to smaller than the paper you normally use.
First screen snap shows where to click to open the Default setting print size location.
Second shows you to click on a default size, and then CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON as shown.
Make the default print size smaller than your everyday paper size.

**** One more comment on the earlier topic. (Prints dark)   Most of the time, when prints are too dark, and everything is set right to print, the problem is that the screen is too bright, and you adjusted the image for that bright screen.
