Title: Gimp
Post by: Jeff on December 21, 2011, 05:35:16 PM
Does any one have any recommendations for a book to assist getting to grips with Gimp?

Local bookshops do not stock any books on Gimp so it is a case of getting one on line.

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Search Amazon under "Gimp Manual"
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_7_5?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gimp+manual&sprefix=gimp+
Bit late for Christmas!!  :o

Thanks - did look at Amazon but I cannot tell if any of the offerings are any good!

When I got Elements 7 I thought I would treat myself to and 'advanced' book on subject.  I did not find anything in it useful.   It was/is totally useless to me, if I require to look up anything I refer to the book I got for Ver 4.

I don't want to make the same mistake again, every time I see the book on the shelf I get a pain in the back pocket.

There's loads of official stuff for free because Gimp is Open Source
