Title: operating camera from laptop Post by: derrick on March 05, 2010, 10:09:58 PM Hi all have just purchased a nikon d5000 and was wondering if there was any software that will enable me to operate the camera from the laptop. have previously used a canon eos 1000 and that came with the software. But if i want to use the nikon software it is going to cost me another £1000 +.
Any ideas Cheers Del. Title: Re: operating camera from laptop Post by: rayw on March 06, 2010, 12:43:55 AM Hi Del,

Quote have just purchased a nikon d5000 and was wondering if there was any software that will enable me to operate the camera from the laptop. have previously used a canon eos 1000 and that came with the software. The alternative is to take the Nikon back and get a Canon again ;DJust joking. I know someone at the photo club who does wireless tethered shooting for events, with a Nikon, but unfortunately, I'll not be seeing him for a while. :( Terry. Not sure if any work with your camera - Hopefully a Nikon user will supply some info Nikon's own Camera Control Pro 2 works very well but is not particularly cheap (about 130 UKP). It support all functions of the latest Nikon DSLR's including Live View.
