Title: Qimage settings in Windows 7
Post by: dwlewe on March 10, 2011, 05:42:13 PM
I use Qimage for a very basic purpose of printing record shots of buildings for historic preservation projects. I had Qimage installed on my old XP machine and had everything set up to do the following:

Print tiffs on 4x6 sheets with a small white border. The prints would size automatically to show the whole image (no cropping) and most important, the descriptive filename would print in the white border so we don't have to hand labels the photos on the back for the Hist. Preservation Office.

The problem I'm having is that Qimage now randomly puts print jobs in some kind of poster mode (a little red 1x2 or 2x2 displays in the upper corner of the preview image). I don't want that. How do I reset that so Qimage just prints on shot per sheet like I had it before? Any suggestions appreciated.

The little red 1 x 2 etc. is telling you that the print size you are requesting is larger than the printable area of the paper you selected.
Look above the right upper panel and that will tell you the printable area of the paper size.
Perhaps, select Fit To Page instead of requesting a 4 x 6.
If you want no cropping, then make sure the crop scissors is turned off.

Thanks very much. That seems to work.
