The one thing that crosses my mind instantly is the fact that you are using different browsers, and the one in the PC is activating a cached page.
Try this. Before you enter the password and username, hold the Control Key while you tap the F5 key forcing a page refresh via download.
See if that helps.

You are using Copy and Paste for the password?
You also realize that the password is different for each subsequent version's download? You are copy/pasting the latest emailed password?
Have you tried typing the new password instead of Copy Paste. Once in a while, there's a hidden character stuck in the clipboard.
Try a reboot computer and then copy and paste.

Sounds like a problem I had.  I am running AVG antivirus and had to go into AVG and turn off "Link Scanner".  It was saying that if a Link wasn't on the approved list, you could not download from it.  I guesss that some update had loaded the Link Scanner and turned it on.

Now this is interesting.  I have a new Windows 7 64 bit machine and with the new Internet Explorer, I am getting the same thing as the original writer.  Also some pages will either not load at all or not load images.  Can't figure out just what is causing it.  I get this error message when attempting to download the Flashpipe upgrade:

Hi Paul
Sorry to hear you are having the same problem i still do not know why it happens but my Laptop is a Dell 700m about 5 years old now,i upgraded the hard drive and reinstalled everything from scratch it still has windows xp with service pack 3 on it and i tried 4 browsers without any success i am surprised that i have the problem on the xp operating system i thought it was an issue only with win 7 and the Quad processor
If i use either of my macs i can download with Safari browser at my home. I was in a hotel with the dell and have not tried at home yet,i think it has to be a setting but possibly not in the browser
I tried googling the error but no answer was found
I did have a problem like this with outlook web access and Explorer that i had to put domain/ in front of the user name but with a different browser i did not have the problem it just worked
